shelf style

I am constantly coming across inspiration that I want to share, and this one is right up my alley. You all know my love of coffee table books {seen here} and I am currently on the hunt for a stylish new bookshelf. I love the mix of books, photos and art {and the splash of color}. How great is this bookshelf inspiration from glitter guide?

behind closed doors

I have been doing a lot of cleaning, re-organizing and re-decorating this month. I typically have a very neat and organized home {I’m a perfectionist when it comes to pillows and bedding}, however that is not the case behind closed doors and drawers {closets, cabinets and dressers that is }. I tend to ignore the mess I can’t see. I have rather large doors and a bookshelf that fits perfectly behind one {I live in a one bedroom, I need all the storage space I can get}. This shelf was getting out of control, I finally had to do something about it. Inspired by a few after Christmas craft sale purchases, from my mom.

unexpected finds….

It always amazes me the things you can find on sale. When I am digging through sales sections, I try to remain patient and don’t let the dis-organized merchandise intimidate me.  A while back I came across this great find in the Urban Outfitters sale section. This pillow was only $9, yes NINE dollars! With a little luck and bit of patience you would be surprised over the finds you will come across.  With the biggest shopping day of the year coming this week, don’t be intimated. There are great finds waiting for you too!

{Urban Outfitters, $9.99}

just pin it

Well I can officially admit, I am a pinterest addict! I had to share this recent idea I pinned. Ever since I could remember I have used bobbi pins. They are all over my house, in every handbag and even throughout my car. This is best idea to keep them from living all over the place. All you need is a magnetic strip and a little double-sided tape.

watercolor

I know I typically share things I come across that are inexpensive, but sometimes I come across great, unique pieces that I consider a good find! My mom recently shared a story with me about the holidays, and this holiday season I am going to purchase handmade products that are right within our backyards! I am truly inspired by Caitlin McGauley’s art work, something about water-color just gets me. Also check out her blog, she uses water-color to describe her weekends, recent purchases, and eats! Oh so talented!

it’s the little things

 I get wrapped up too quickly in my everyday busy life and sometimes forget the little things. And to be grateful for those little things.  I came across these precious {handwritten} items and the quotes quickly reminded it’s the simple, small things that mean the most. All pieces from Laurel Denise.

trays.. and more trays

Trays work great to add color, texture and height to flat surfaces. Best part, get bored of the look, just move the tray around the house, from the coffee table, to the nightstand. Here are some of my recent favorite finds below.
