favorite finds {this week}

This week has been absolutely crazy! So excited Friday is finally here and ready to head out of town. Here are a few of my favorite things that got me through this hectic week.

a little stamp goes a long way

Recently my friend got married and I just had to share her idea for customized stamps. She designed her stamps, had them produced {stamp info. here} and she was able to use the design throughout her wedding. My favorite was the stamp, used on fabric, for candy bags the guest could fill as they left the wedding. Such a great idea and inexpensive as well. She made all the favor bags herself and the stamped showed up beautifully on the fabric she chose. This not only works for weddings, but for parties and holiday treats too!

trays.. and more trays

Trays work great to add color, texture and height to flat surfaces. Best part, get bored of the look, just move the tray around the house, from the coffee table, to the nightstand. Here are some of my recent favorite finds below.

I have forever been a fan of Le Creuset, and you would be surprised to know I have NEVER paid full price for any of my pieces. I love that the pieces are oven to table and the color options are beautiful! They have a great outlet store {locations here} that always have multiple offers and sometimes hard to find pieces at discounted prices. Also at the outlet the more you buy, the more you save. I have had luck finding pieces at Marshall’s and TJ Maxx as well, you just have to look a little harder. I received an email for a discounted piece this weekend {in-store only} at Williams-Sonoma, and I will be making a visit to pick up mine. This particular piece is on sale for $49.50, from $100! {Offer ends 10/30}

furbish studios

I recently came across the perfect place for ALL types of gifts and accessories. Furbish Studios has put together a unique variety of merchandise and gifts of all kinds. The prices are right too! I included my favorite finds below!

everything dish

I have had this glass dish in a junk drawer forever. I’ve used it a few times it for a candle holder and also as a soap dish, but its been a pretty boring piece. I decided to give it a little face lift. I found a print online that I liked, printed it on card stock and used modge podge to adhere to the bottom.

candy pecans

I made candy pecans this weekend to accent a cheese plate I had put together. This was the perfect touch and flavor with the cheese selection. Not to mention so easy to make. {full recipe}

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1 dash vanilla extract

4 cups pecans

1. Pre-heat oven to 250

2. Mix egg white, brown sugar and vanilla extract together in large bowl

3. Mix in pecans, make sure they are well coated, spread on baking sheet

4. Bake for 10-15 minutes, and let cool before serving
