you can never have too many…

I am in the market for a few new chambray {denim} shirts to put into rotation. My current ones are a little worn and with the mild seasons down south you can never have to many. P.S. don’t be afraid to venture into the mens department.

the shirt dress

This time of year weather can always be tricky, cooler in the evenings and the mornings, but warm in the afternoon. A casual shirt dress is a great go to! Pair with booties now and layer on a scarf when it gets colder. For taller girls like me, it’s more of a shirt, then a dress, but perfect for skinny jeans and tights! I love these from Urban Outfitters and on sale for $39 {in-store and online}!

colored soles

Suede oxfords are a very versatile shoe to get you from this in between time of year to those chilly winter months that are ahead of us. I find myself pairing with skirts and jeans, bold crop pants and even look forward to tights, when the temperatures start to drop! I love the color soles on these, a nice pop of color to such a basic shoe!

their way: Asos $174.71

the save way: Target $19.99

leather in the mail

Well it was back to work today and finally a little feeling of normalcy around here. It was nice to come home to a mailbox full of mail and a few packages on my doorstop {with the hurricane and the holiday probably a full weeks worth of mail}. One package in particular, I had been looking forward to receiving, a package that contained a little bit of leather! For fall leather is everywhere, however I cannot see myself pulling off a full leather look. When I came across this shirt I knew it was perfect for me, just a touch of leather and extreme comfort, and only $26!

*top: Zara $25.90

*note: I purchased a medium and typically wear a size 6-8

shoe love

Shoes… again, I know! I do write about them a lot, however what I love about shoes is that no matter your size or shape a new pair can really make you feel good about yourself! Last Call, By Neiman Marcus {as previously written about here} has been my go to shopping site lately when I am looking for that lucky find. I came across these boots yesterday and I have really been considering investing in them! They are the perfect mix of leather and suede, which happens to be right on trend for the upcoming season. They are more than I would typically spend on a pair of shoes, however I think they will be in rotation quite a bit. (sign up for the email updates to get notified first on sales, they do sale-wide sites often!)

Gray, Tan, Black

the loafer

Another fall must have on my list is the loafer. Always a classic look perfect for everything from colored skinnies to coated denim. I absolutely love all of these from the Gap, and you can’t go wrong with the price! No need to wait till the weather cools down these are great to wear now as well!
