I came across this post yesterday, and was immediately inspired to search for a kaftan. The most cozy, chic look and perfect for traveling. I have coffee table books all throughout my house {seen here}, I find myself picking them up occasionally as a place to look for inspiration. Don’t get me wrong, I go to Pinterest more often than not, but there is just something I love about flipping the pages of a hard cover book. I came across this beautiful book {the cover image is just perfection} and was instantly inspired.

I finally found a dresser {briefly shown here} and started making changes around my bedroom to accommodate the style and size. The new piece is a total different shape then my last one and I now have the space for an additional accent piece in my room. I recently found several I love from Target, and majority happen to be on sale too {all under $65}!
The weather in New Orleans the last two weeks has been absolute dreary. From cold and raining, to warm and foggy, and now freezing with the chance of sleet. Needless to say I am counting down the days till we will see the sun again {they say Friday}. When the weather is like this I can’t help but reach for the darker items in my closet. Here are a few all black combinations I love, just add an umbrella and they would fit right in down here. 
Nate Berkus has been a favorite of mine ever since his days of room makeovers on Oprah. In November’s Architectural Digest, Nate’s own apartment was featured with several before and after photos of his renovations.
