well painted

True story; I can paint my nails {on both hands}, rarely getting polish on my skin. I picked up this talent from my mom while watching her paint her nails growing up.  I’m able to save on manicures, change my polish often, and have created a nice little color collection to choose from. Marc Jacobs recently launched his beauty line and the nail polish is getting rave reviews. It has a very high-shine {which I LOVE} and is long-lasting, I can’t wait to pick up a few of these colors!

Shop the Shades:

the mini brush

I carry around a full size blush brush in my handbag and needless to say I end up with blush and bronzer on just about everything. I came across these mini brushes with their own bag {to keep the blush and bronzer leftovers contained} and my problem has finally been solved. Only took 10 years. Here’s to a cleaner handbag!

friday finds {re-visited}

There is nothing like good ol fashion lip color. I have forever been collecting lipsticks and pulled a few out recently. I have re-introduced colored lips back into my everyday routine. Here are some oldies but goodies. However I have immediate plans to add to my collection. And by immediate, I mean this afternoon!

MAC: Pink Poodle, Merle Norman: Claret Cream, Dior: Beige Production, Merle Norman: Trace of Melon, Avon: Sparking Mauve, Merle Norman: Flirt Alert {my go to red}

*still don’t know what to wear for St. Patty’s day tomorrow? Check out what I am wearing here.

don’t leave home without it

I’m always trying new beauty products {I’ve inherited that knack from my mom}, but there are two products I cannot live with out. First is the absolute BEST lip treatment of all time, and I literally stumbled upon this find. I was in a large department store in NYC during the winter and my lips were so chapped {they hurt} I couldn’t imagine going back outside. I saw the Kiehl’s counter and bought the first lip treatment I could get my hands on and have never looked back {that was 4 years ago}. The Kiehl’s lip balm #1 is amazing, no burning, no scent, no flavor. Just what I needed on that freezing cold day in NYC. Not only does it heel chapped lips, it keeps then looking perfectly smooth and slighty shiny. {shhhh….don’t tell but it works so well my bf uses it too}

*Use it over your favorite lipstick for just a little shine!

My second daily use product is Sephora’s mineral face powder. This powder has the perfect combination of coverage, yet still keeps that natural look . After trying drugstore brands, high-end lines and mail order products, this powder is by far the best I have used.
