the bag lady

True life, I’m a bag hoarder. You name it, I love it; totes, luggage, purses… As part of my spring cleaning I decided to make the conscious effort to purchase less bags, unfortunately that all went out the window when I came across these. Pretty sure this one, will be coming home with me soon. Don’t forget Mother’s Day and upcoming graduations, these would make great gifts!!

ten under $10 {beach edition}

I have several beach trips coming up and need to refresh a few key pieces worn out from last season. I’ve rounded up the best beach buys all under $10! How fun is the pink beach bag? And who can resist a new pair of sandals?! Now if this unseasonably cold weather would just excuse itself, the beach is calling.

warmer weather

Lets talk about the weather, everyone is talking about the weather. Snow seems to be all over the country and we are experiencing unseasonably cold temperatures here in New Orleans as well. I’m ready to warm up and lately I find myself daydreaming and even researching tropical locations. How amazing do these warm getaways look?! We all have those moments where you just have to getaway. Pull yourself away from your routines and get out of dodge. My bf and I did this in December and it was just what we both needed. Some much-needed time together, time away from work {I even put my work email on silent}, and a little wandering around a city we don’t get to very often. We took a road trip to Asheville, NC and had the best time. Asheville is such a fun, cute little city with so many great new restaurants and old favorites to see {like the Biltmore} and being there around the holidays is pretty magical. I have to mention, we had the best time putting my camera on self-timer and taking our own pics. We had a few turn out pretty amazing, hey whatever works, right?

smiles all around

My weekend in Austin was such a success. Seeing old friends, making new ones and learning a few things along the way. On Saturday evening we had the opportunity to play with several brands and snap a few fun photos throughout the evening. I love these pics courtesy of Bonlook!

down at seaside

Typically we spend July 4th at the beach but this year we decided to change things up and relax at home. Lucky for us, the weather was perfect, and from the looks of the weather channel the rain has been nonstop at the beach. These pictures are from my last beach trip on an outing to Seaside. Seaside is the small picturesque beach town, most known for the set it played for the Truman Show. The small town is now jammed packed with people, shopping, beach homes and bikes.

shopSCAD | lucky girl finds

Back in March I had the opportunity to spend a little time at shopSCAD, the retail works of Savannah College of Art and Design. What a magical store, everything you could creatively imagine. From hilarious letterpress cards, golden bones, the most amazing leather creations, to pottery and paintings so beautiful you can’t even imagine. Not to mention the worlds best gallery wall. Best part everything is for sale.

beach week

I’ve spent this entire week relaxing at the beach with my family. It’s been nice to unplugged and take time for the little things. I’m looking forward to the weekend here and celebrating my 28th. Here is a little glimpse at what I’ve been up to {follow along on instagram for more}.

sweet southern town

I still can’t get enough of the photos I took in Savannah. I absolutely love that town, and really hope to get back there one day soon. The moss filled trees and the perfect southern comfort food are calling my name.

the doors of Savannah

Our trip to Savannah last weekend was a great one. There’s nothing better than a small southern town, filled with rich history. The houses were to die for, and I couldn’t help but capture all the colorful doors. It’s amazing the impact a bold door can make on an older home.
