{tangerine tango}

This color has been declared the color of 2012! You have probably seen it all over the place by this point, but here a are a few tangerine tango  pieces I’m currently craving.

tunic, anorak, pants, dress, purse, suede heels, vase ,dress, necklace

polka dots on top

So, here it is, my first outfit post! I wore this over the weekend and wanted to share a few shots. I absolutely love the bold jeans with the bright clutch, and who isn’t wearing polka dots right now? Not to mention a red lip as well!

P.S. I didn’t pay full price for anything I’m wearing! All were purchased on sale, with a groupon, or at an outlet.

Top: Aqua, similar style hereJeans: New York & CompanyShoes: Banana Republic {on major sale in store only}- Clutch: American Apparel {i got it half off with a groupon}- Watch: Michael Kors {purchased at the outlet}

you love it or you hate it

This time of year you can’t get away from it! The TV commercials are over powering! It’s dreaded by some, but loved by me. That’s right you guessed it Black Friday! So what are your big plans? I know most will probably stay far away from the shopping malls as possible. I on the other hand will be right in the thick of it. No matter where I have been for Thanksgiving I always try to get out there and shop on Black Friday {it helps boost the economy, right?}, you never know what finds you will come across and let’s be honest, there is always great people watching as well.

This year I will be out shopping at midnight on Thanksgiving night, yep midnight my friends. I am headed to Florida with family and friends and the outlet malls are the prime shopping for Black Friday. The outlet stores on the top of my list are Saks off 5th, JCrew, Banana Republic, Michael Kors, Kenneth Cole and DKNY. I have shopped these outlets before this time of year and it’s always such a pleasure {I scored a $14 Chloe top and $40 JBrands last trip}. Not to mention now is the perfect time to invest in winter pieces, especially since most shoppers in Florida steer away from those seasonal items.

One thing to remember while shopping, just cause it’s on sale doesn’t mean you need to buy it.

*make sure you will wear it, use it, or gift it

{can't wait to see what I can find}

scalloped velvet

I bought these flats this week and absolutely adore them! The fabric and the cut are so unique and perfect for the fall! They are available in multiple shades and for only $19.50 I couldn’t pass them up!

fall under fifty

My best finds come when shopping out of season. Shopping out of season can be the key to success, either shopping before the season arrives or at the end of the season. The plus side of shopping out of season is purchasing items that others rarely come across.  So as much as I CANNOT imagine wearing a sweater or boots now {August has been a HOT one}, it is the best time to start shopping. I have compiled below my top fall favorite, finds for under fifty {$50}!

{fall 2011 Pantone Colors}

I look to the Pantone colors to be a guide on the latest color trends for each season. It’s nice to have colors in mind when shopping for a new season. I have a copy of this image on my iphone too! So if ever I need inspiration when shopping I can always look to color.

lucky girl finds…

Ever since I could remember I browsed high-gloss magazines cutting out things I liked: accessories, clothing, recipes and shoes! I would take the inspiration collected and head out on the search. Searching for similar pieces, with my own style incorporated, and a much lower price range in mind! I’ve always had the knack for finding high-end looks for low-end prices.

I am always up for shopping, no matter if it’s shopping for gifts or groceries; myself or others; my home or my closet. Shopping is my absolute favorite thing to do. I’m not the one who gets a purchasing high, for me I enjoy the entire process. The browsing, the details of the garments, looking through rack after rack, the actual hunt itself and not knowing what I will come across next. The key to my successful shopping trips is my willingness to enter any retail establishment, no matter how disorganized it may seem from first glance. Sometimes it’s the chaos that makes the search more interesting. Now, don’t get me wrong I love the service and ease of shopping at fine retail establishments (and the sale racks too)! But I am also not afraid to dig through piles, browse the racks and fight the crowds for that next lucky find!

With my knack for finding high-end inspired items at prices everyone can afford, friends, family, co-workers and even strangers, refer to me as lucky, whenever they inquire about my recent finds. Which brings me to where I am today!

Welcome to lucky girl finds!

Money is tight these days for all of us and trendy pieces move in and out of  our homes so quickly, no reason to watch our money fly away with them. Please enjoy my newest adventure… This blog will provide you daily inspiration for fashion+entertaining+decor!
