short story

With the days getting warmer and the sunshine lasting longer, I see myself getting lots of weekend wear out of colorful patterned shorts. I know I will be wearing a few styles below, paired with a basic t and flat sandals!

forever21: blue, black, pink

gap: chevron, blue, coral

zara: blue, white, pattern

peacock plume

I discovered peacock plume while attending Texas Style Council in Austin, and I absolutely fell in love! With one necklace in particular, and now I can’t get enough of what their site has to offer. The prices are amazing, I can honestly say you get more bang for the buck! How fabulous is the necklace I picked up? You would never guess it’s only $35!

*more to come on my above outfit later in the week

weekend bliss

This weekend was a cause for celebration! My first crawfish of the season, my first Saturday with no plans {spent by the pool} and gathering friends and family to celebrate my sister’s wedding with just the perfect shower. I can’t believe it went by so quickly! Here is a glimpse…

{first crawfish and abita strawberry of the season}

{poolside relaxation}

{lanterns at the shower}

{shower sweet treats}

{heart stoppers}

*P.S. I wore this floral dress, with these great heels!

friday finds {purchased}

For some reason, this week has been a tough one. Lack of motivation, so many upcoming plans, personal and professional to-do list that seem to be never ending, and the pure exhaustion of being non-stop busy over the past month. I cannot even begin to explain how excited I am to finally sleep in on Saturday and do whatever I want with my entire day! Last night I needed a little retail therapy and happened to make out great at Forever21. Just a glimpse at a few items I came home with.

their way & the save way

The maxi dresses that live in my closet have seen better days. Mainly in part because I live in them during the summer. Not to mention they are easy to wear and so quick to throw on.  I am currently on the hunt for a few versatile replacements and I love the stripes on the one below. And,  just so happens I found a more affordable version too!

{Rachel Pally $238}

{Hive & Honey $69}

chambray & stripes

I had some time to snap a few outfit photos while in Austin last weekend and had to share. I absolutely LOVE this skirt, and you would never guess it’s from JCPenney! If you get a chance swing by and check out the MNG by Mango collection, I love it! And,  as most of you know by now,  one of my new years resolutions is to mix more patterns,  hence the leopard and stripe combination.
