and the oscar goes to….

Hands down, my best dressed pick goes to Michelle Williams. She looked absolutely stunning in Louis Vuitton.  The color, the simple details and her coloring (skin and hair) all worked together so perfectly! Not to mention the pastel colored clutch, I absolutely love the two colors together.

their way and the save way

My denim button up has been a staple in my wardrobe over the past year and I’m SO ready for spring, to pair with pastel jeans! Just another example that you don’t have to spend a lot! {both versions are 100% cotton too}

{their way current/elliot, $218}

{old navy $26.94}

follow friday

It’s finally Friday. This seems to be one of the longest weeks I’ve had in a while! The rest of the world will move on with their daily lives in the upcoming days, and we in New Orleans will take a much-needed break, and celebrate! Celebrate the Mardi Gras season. Follow me on instagram @luckygirlfinds for my photo updates and twitter as well!

{tangerine tango}

This color has been declared the color of 2012! You have probably seen it all over the place by this point, but here a are a few tangerine tango  pieces I’m currently craving.

tunic, anorak, pants, dress, purse, suede heels, vase ,dress, necklace

spots, dots and circles

Lately I have been seeing spots, literally. I feel like everything I have been buying is either polka dot or striped. Below are a few of my favorite spotted and dotted items!

top, dress, scarf, bracelets, skirt, iPad case, pillows, butter dish

olsenboye {made in the shade}

You can probably tell by now I LOVE sunglasses {here and here}. Olsenboye is a line created by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen exclusively for JC Penney. The sunglasses are so darling and look very similar to their higher-end versions done for  Elizabeth and James. For only $15 you too can be styled like an Olsen.

made with love

Need a Valentine’s treat for Tuesday? These are super easy to make and are absolutely delicious! I must tell you it does require a little mess, but cleanup is easy. All you need is a bag of Pretzel Rods, Almond Bark {chocolate or vanilla}, and fun colored sprinkle.

1. Melt almond bark in 30 second intervals in the microwave, dip pretzels in melted chocolate

2. Pour sprinkles over melted chocolate immediately

3. Use a counted top edge to let pretzels dry {I put aluminum foil on the ground to catch the drippings}

4. Enjoy!

*to individually wrap use a plastic bag and a small piece of ribbon, and cut out hearts from colored paper to personalize!
